~ THE MAKING OF TIMELESS TREASURES ~
Welcome to Timeless Treasures, voted Bedford's #1 Country/Primitive décor and more, store. I started out making crafts, doing the wood cutting and painting, in my husbands’ body and paint shop, where I worked as an Office Manager. I would put the items I made in a corner of my office for sale. This was just a hobby and it took off instantly. I couldn’t keep up with the demand of my customers!! I was totally overwhelmed with the response I was getting.
We owned another building east of town that was just sitting there empty. My husband asked me, "Why didn’t I use a room or two of it and open my own store." I was terrified!! Me?? I knew nothing about owning or operating a store!! With his insistence and faith in me, I started cleaning. I also started ordering merchandise to help fill in from what I handmade. I soon realized it was much easier and quicker to purchase things, mark them, and place them in the store.
I officially opened Timeless Treasures on October 30, 1997 in two small rooms, approximately 400 square feet. As my customers grew and the merchandise I displayed grew, again with the insistence of my husband, we opened an expansion of the store in November 2002. It was nearly 4 times as big as when we started!!
Once again, I found that I was full from the floor to the ceiling. We soon realized the room I was using for my office and shipping department would make a nice size addition. We opened that room in 2007! I have been truly blessed!
